Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions govern your use of the MyCareFinders website and services. Please read them carefully. By using our website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: 26 August 2026
1.Agreement to these terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Local Knowledge Pty Ltd (ABN 15 116 200 796), trading as MyCareFinders (“MyCareFinders”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing or using the website at mycarefinders.com.au, submitting an enquiry, or creating a provider account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2.Who we are & what we do
MyCareFinders is operated by Local Knowledge Pty Ltd (ABN 15 116 200 796). We are an independent Australian directory and referral service. We help NDIS participants, their families, carers and support networks find registered disability support providers and Plan Managers, and connect with them. We also provide listing and related tools to providers.
We are not the NDIA, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, or a government body, and we are not affiliated with them. We do not deliver disability supports ourselves and we do not manage NDIS plans, funds or budgets. Supports are delivered by the independent providers you connect with. MyMoney® and MyGoals® are registered trademarks, and Local Knowledge™ and MyCareFinders™ are trademarks, of Local Knowledge Pty Ltd.
3.No professional or medical advice
Information on our website, including guides and any content generated by our AI guide, is general information only. It is not medical, legal, financial or professional advice and should not be relied on as such. You should obtain your own independent advice before making decisions about your NDIS supports. In an emergency, call 000.
4.Eligibility & your account
You must be at least 18 years old, or use our website with the involvement of a parent, guardian or authorised representative. If you create a provider account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
5.Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete and current information in any enquiry or account.
- Only submit another person’s information if you are authorised to do so.
- Use our website and services lawfully and in line with these Terms.
- Keep your account credentials secure and use strong, unique passwords.
6.Enquiries, referrals & connections
When you submit an enquiry or request a callback, you authorise us to contact you and, where relevant, to share the details needed to connect you with a suitable provider or Plan Manager. Being connected with a provider does not create any obligation on you to engage that provider.
We aim to connect you with appropriate providers, but we do not guarantee that a provider will be available, suitable, or will accept your enquiry. Any agreement for services is strictly between you and the provider.
7.Provider listings & obligations
Some directory listings are compiled from the publicly available NDIS Provider Register and other public sources. Providers may claim, update or request removal of their listing at any time via our Remove Your Listing page.
If you are a provider, you additionally agree that:
- All information you supply about your business is accurate and not misleading, and you hold any required NDIS registration and insurances.
- You will comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct, NDIS Practice Standards (where applicable) and all applicable laws.
- You will respond to enquiries professionally and handle any personal information you receive in accordance with privacy law.
- We may moderate, edit or remove listings or content that we reasonably consider inaccurate, unlawful, or in breach of these Terms.
8.Fees
Using the MyCareFinders directory and submitting an enquiry is free for participants, families and carers. Some services offered to providers may involve fees; where fees apply, they will be clearly set out and agreed with the provider before any charge is made. We do not charge you fees from, and we do not draw on, any person’s NDIS plan or budget.
9.Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use the website for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or misleading purpose.
- Submit false, spam or malicious enquiries, or impersonate another person.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to, disrupt, or interfere with our systems or security.
- Copy, scrape, harvest or extract data from the website except as expressly permitted.
- Upload viruses or malicious code, or use the site in a way that could damage or overload it.
- Infringe the intellectual property or other rights of MyCareFinders or any third party.
10.Intellectual property
The website, its design, text, graphics, logos and other content (excluding provider- and user-supplied content and publicly sourced data) are owned by or licensed to MyCareFinders and are protected by law. You may view and use the website for its intended purpose, but you may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from our content without our permission. Trade marks and provider brands remain the property of their respective owners.
11.Third-party services & links
Our website may contain links to, or connect you with, third-party providers and websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, quality, conduct, content, products or services of any third party. Any dealings you have with a provider or third-party site are solely between you and that party.
12.Availability & changes
We work to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The website may be unavailable during maintenance or due to events beyond our control, and we may add, change, suspend or remove features at any time.
13.Disclaimers
While we take care to keep directory and other information accurate and up to date, much of it is sourced from public registers and third parties, and we do not warrant that it is complete, current or error-free. Listing in our directory is not an endorsement, accreditation or recommendation of any provider. You are responsible for making your own enquiries and checks (including a provider’s registration, qualifications and suitability) before engaging them.
14.Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
15.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the Australian Consumer Law section above, MyCareFinders is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your dealings with a provider or third party, your reliance on directory or website information, or any unavailability of the website.
Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
16.Indemnity
You agree to indemnify MyCareFinders against any loss, damage, cost or expense we reasonably incur arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the website, or your breach of any law or third-party rights, except to the extent caused by us.
17.Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using our services you consent to that handling.
18.Suspension & termination
You may stop using our website at any time. Providers may close their account or request removal of their listing at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the website, or where we reasonably need to for legal, security or operational reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and indemnity) will continue to apply.
19.Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the state or territory in which MyCareFinders is based. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
20.Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when they were last revised. Changes take effect when published on this page, and your continued use of the website means you accept the updated Terms.
